a former girlfriend of mine hated the fact that I used to wake up to this song - the beautifully-produced drums giving way to the vocals such that if you missed the snooze button you got a jarring dose of yelpery.
I remember it most for a series of faded december afternoons spent finishing papers, drinking lemon drops, and looking out my window onto a soviet-style courtyard in new york with a strange sense of peace as the primary season loomed in actuality.
